Carl Wayne Mullins

CW is a legend around Tallassee and he has been a valuable member of the WTLS team since 2000. From keeping stats for a WTLS sports broadcast to belting out “The Eye of the Tiger,” Carl Wayne always plays a pivotal part. Carl got acquainted with the radio business through his brother, the late “Dr.” Earl “Fever”. Earl worked at WTLS during the ‘80’s and ‘90’s.

Carl has always been an avid sports fan. During his high school days in the mid 70’s, he was told by Coach Ronnie Baynes that he was “too short” to play football. Still, he is one of Tallassee’s biggest supporters today. He is also among the most boisterous Alabama fans in town.

You can hear Carl Wayne not only during play-by-play broadcasts, but also on Friday mornings. CW is a co-host on Fridays during The Wake-Up Call, 6:30 - 9:00 am every week.
